Ex-Enemy Joins Panthers
Posted by Matt Loede on August 16th, 2007 filed in NewsTackle Kenyatta Walker was despised by Panthers players during his six-year tenure in
Tampa Bay. Now many of those same players will call Walker a teammate. The Panthers signed the former first-round pick earlier in the week to bolster their depth on the offensive line. Walker drew the ire of members of the Carolina defense for a perceived dirty block that ended ex-Panther Kavika Pittman’s season in 2003. But Walker says he can put the past behind him and is happy to be in Carolina. The Panthers will practice at 9:45 this morning in Spartanburg. Carolina will play its second preseason game Friday night at Philadelphia. Coach John Fox says the starters will play into the second quarter.
