Beason Talks Stalled; Diggs Carted off Field
Posted by Matt Loede on July 31st, 2007 filed in NewsThe agent for rookie linebacker Jon Beason tells the “Charlotte Observer” that contract talks with the Panthers have stalled. Michael Huyghue tells the “Observer” the Panthers have not made a reasonable offer. Beason has missed five practices thus far. He was the 25th pick in April’s NFL Draft. Meanwhile, linebacker Na’il Diggs had to be carted off the field after suffering a hamstring injury in practice Monday morning. The injury was not believed to be serious, but Diggs sat out the second practice Monday night. The Panthers will return to the practice field this afternoon.
