The Carolina Panthers will report for training camp in Spartanburg today.  The team willBridges hold its first practice at Wofford Saturday morning.  The Panthers are looking to erase the disappointment of last year’s 7-and-9 campaign.   First-round draft pick Jon Beason remains unsigned and could miss the start of camp.  Second-round picks Dwayne Jarrett and Ryan Kalil are expected to report for camp.  The “Charlotte Observer” reports Kalil has agreed to terms, while the final details of Jarrett’s deal are being ironed out.  The Panthers play their preseason opener Saturday, August 11th at the New York Giants.  Meanwhile, the “Observer” reports lineman Jeremy Bridges was arrested Thursday afternoon.  The paper says Bridges was charged with assault after pointing a gun at a dancer in the parking lot of a gentlemen’s club.
