The Carolina Panthers will begin preparations for another NFL season this week. Players will report for training camp in Spartanburg on Friday and will hit the practice field for the first time Saturday morning. The Panthers are looking to bounce back from a 7-and-9 campaign after many observers picked them to be Super Bowl contenders last season. Carolina has a new offensive coordinator, as former Browns assistant Jeff Davidson has replaced the fired Dan Henning. The Panthers also signed free agent David Carr to backup Jake Delhomme at quarterback, and veteran wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson was released shortly after the NFL Draft.
