Beason is solid 'backer from the 'U'
Wanted BEARS to get him but TE Greg Olsen, also from the 'U' dropped to us @ 31! BEARS had to draft him, filling a need ~ for a pass catching TE, RedZone Weapon. Is Dam. Lewis that good? He was a castoff/disappointment from Stl...
If people still underrated or overlook DeAngelo Williams ~ he will definitely make opponents pay!!! I agree with D.Williams having himself a monster year ~ breaking out for 1300 yds. rushing. Get Foster out and have D.Williams run the show - John Fox... On the Gab Report ~ one of our Main Writers said he would become one of the best backs after this yr. - in all of the NFL. I say maybe a "Frank Gore" type-year for him ... ?!? He was one of my favorites to watch @ the Univ. of Memphis. Carolina will improve and turnaround their record from last yr... resulting in a 9-7 season. I would not be surprised seeing them win 10 though (Defense is loaded @ DE with Julius "don't call him the Doctor" Peppers, T.Davis from Ga., and Gamble from my OSU Buckeyes.) Peppers is the best DE in the league - I can also see 'em just getting 8 because everyone will continue to key on Steve Smith and pressure Delhomme... that being said ~ D.Williams is the Big KEY this year for Carolina Panthers Football! THANKS for the Post/Comment ~ like to see the Interest in Feedback !!!

I agree with getting Darius if he's recovered from the broken leg. I think we will be fine up the middle with Jenkins, Damiene Lewis and Kemo. Sure, Morgan will probably go down, but Beason should step in. What you are over-looking is the offense. I think the zone-blocking scheme Jeff Davidson is installing, the return of three injured starters to the offensive line and 2nd year back D. Williams will take the pressure off Jake and Steve Smith. I expect the Panthers to win 11 games this year.

Kris Jenkins made the Pro Bowl in 2004. "Just" made it... its 2007, what have you done for me lately? NFL - Stands for "Not For Long" (former Coach Jerry Glanville's quote.) Jenkins is so often out because of a series of injuries - and with a big, 340-pound body like his - he might not be capable of putting up #s like in the '03 Super Bowl run and '04 Pro-Bowl year- when he was younger and Healthier. This defense is fragile - LB Dan Morgan has been as fragile as "Mom's China Table" - and is always injured (you know that) and CB Ken Lucas was hurt last year also. Mike Minter is getting old like Mike Brown, so to count on him is not your best decision at Strong Safety ~ they should go after Donovin Darius to team up with him. I know injuries can catch with any team at any given time of the season ( BEARS fan Here ), so I completely agree with you on that one and understand your reasoning. Top ten D? Maybe 15-18 range, Julius Peppers, Gamble, Thomas Davis, and new rookie Beason might have something to say about it. Their secondary and DT tackle position is not as good like it used to be...

What are you talking about? Jenkins just made the Pro Bowl and we were offered a 2nd rd pick for him. That qualifies as "has been"? The defense is fragile? Any team can be hurt by injuries. Regardless, this is still a top ten defense. I think you are in for a surprise with the Panthers and I will revel in rubbing it in your nose.
